Cerro Verde Gold And Silver Extended Within Dynasty Goldfields
Vancouver, BC, January 5, 2006 - Dynasty Metals & Mining Inc. (TSXV: DMM; the “Company”) reports that ongoing rock sampling from trenches has confirmed the occurrence of extensive mineralization in a new area within the Dynasty Goldfields, in south-western Ecuador.
The widely-spaced trench sampling identified new quartz-sulphide vein swarms and stockworks commencing approximately 500 metres to the south-east of the Cerro Verde area. Exploration has confirmed the presence of individual outcropping veins over more than 600 metres, with widths varying from 0.6 metres to 3 metres.
Results from 68 rock samples taken from trenches in the sampling program have significantly extended the known gold and silver mineralization at Cerro Verde, returning best assay values of 12.6 grams per tonne (“g/t”) gold and 81 g/t silver over 1.8 metres and 12.2 g/t gold and 10 g/t silver over 1.2 metres.
Exploration of this discovery is early stage and, to date, has covered approximately one square kilometre. Four target areas have been outlined for early drill testing.
Significant rock channel sample results taken from trenches on surface outcrops of quartz-sulphide veining and stockworks are presented below:

The Dynasty Goldfields
The “Dynasty Goldfields” cover an area of approximately 12 km x 4 km within the Company’s 100% owned 90 km by 20 km Dynasty Copper-Gold Belt, in south-western Ecuador. The Dynasty Goldfields include the Papayal and Cerro Verde quartz-sulphide vein swarms and stockworks, where recent drilling has confirmed the presence to depth of high-grade gold and silver mineralization. Initial resource calculations based upon this drilling are currently in progress.
